This series of patterns is based on an abstract landscape I painted with oil on canvas panel. It is a painting of a well known water canal near my home in Vancouver, B.C. It was then photographed and made into a high-res digital file. I love how the slight variations in colour and the texture of the canvas come through in the abstracted designs below. It gives the whole pattern a beautiful organic quality.
